Number Plates:
HCR862 > SWRT1 > KJA956
Driver/Ownership:
2013 - 2016: Andrew Hawkeswood
2016: Brendon Reeves
2016: Tony Gosling
2017 - Current: Rhys Gardner
History:
The car was built in 2013 by Andrew Hawkeswood and Force Motorsport essentially to maxi car rules, however the car was not based on any specific class. It was used as a development car for future AP4 cars, effectively an AP4 Prototype. Hawkeswood used the car for two seasons in the New Zealand Rally Championship in 2014 and 2015 to limited success however the car showed potential and paved the way for future development in the sport in NZ.
2016 would see the one off appearance of the car in the hands of Australian Branden Reeves in the NZRC series finale at Rally Coromandel. Reeves would go on the win in impeccable fashion, showing the potential of the car and highlighting the skills of the very talented Reeves.
The end of 2016 saw the car sold and head South to Tony Gosling at Stadium Motorsport. Gosling gave the car its first shakedown event at the Blakely Pacific Spring Rally.
Early 2017 would see the Southlander, Rhys Gardner acquire the car, making his debut in the car at Rally Otago. Gardner's season got off to a good start with a number of top results, highlighted by a 3rd at the season opening Rally Otago but the back half of the season saw few results to be had. The car had a going over for the start of the 2018 season, but suffered the same fate with disappointing results in the first two rounds, this coupled with creation and release of his CoDrivr business has lead to the vehicle being parked up.
