History:
The car was built by David Richards at Prodrive around 1992 and was used by Possum Bourne in the 1993 Rally NZ and the 1993 APRC. It would be a succesful pairing between car and driver with Possum going on to secure the 1993 Asia-Pacific Rally Championship.

1994 would see the car sold, having been purchased by hometown hero Joe McAndrew for an assault on the NZRC. The 1994 Rally of NZ would see McAndrew come home 6th overall and first New Zealander in what was a memorable moment in NZ rallying history. In 1995 the car ran with the new Group A rules of having a smaller 34mm restrictor.

Car sold overseas before being bought back by Joe McAndrew to be restored. Car now half restored in Joe McAndrew’s garage.
