History:
This car was built new in 1996 by Auckland motorsport business Road,Race & Rally for Morrie Chandler who at the time was Ralliart NZ. During Chandler's ownership the car was driven by Reece Jones to compete in the NZRC and take out the 1997 NZRC title. The car was used by Marty Roestenburg in 1998. The car was sold to Dunedin's Mike Turfus in 2000. In 2001 the car was brought by Dermot Martin and used through to 2004. Car was shared with Deane Buist at the 2002 Kaiwara Road sprint and again in 2003 at the Rakaia Zig Zag Hillclimb.
In 2005 the car was sold to Chris Paddon for his son and future WRC star Hayden Paddon to use for his first foray into a 4WD rally car. The car was used in the Mainland Series and the Rally Extreme series where he achieved a podium at Rally Southland, his first rally in this car. Disaster stuck at Rally Canterbury the 5th round of the Mainland series when Paddon's car stopped on the side of the road resulting in the car catching fire and burning to the ground.
