Marcus Van Klink built the car at the end of 2016 with a view in mind of tackling the NZRC Open 2WD class in a triple rotor 20B powered Mazda RX8, built with assistance from the rotary guru Al Marsh Rotorsport and Palmside NZ. It features MCA suspension, Quaife 6 Speed Sequential box and unique carbon panels including doors and roof.
The car made its competition debut at 2016 Targa NZ, with Van Klink performing well in the brand new car. Westland Rally 2017 the car made its gravel debut.
