History:
The car was built new by Prodrive in 2008 and sold to Liu Chau Dong from China where it sat for two years. Richard Mason purchased the car in 2010 with less than 500km on the clock. It was then campaigned by Richard in every NZRC in Group N trim till 2013.
Car converted to homebuilt NZRC R4 specs in 2013. The car is currently NZ's most successful rally car having won the most NZRC championship rounds in NZRC history. The car was not used in 2015 other than at Leadfoot festival as Mason lost his long term supporter in BNT. The car returned to the rally stages at the 2016 Taranaki Tarmac rally but suffered an engine failure on the 1st stage of the event.
The car was then purchased by Jeff Ward in 2019 based out of the Wellington region. Ward campagined the car in the NZRC run by Paddon Rallysport, competing in the Cat 5 4WD Challenge class to good results.
In 2023, the car was sold to Ben Huband.
