History:
Car was built new by Neil Allport Mororsport.to use in 2010 NZRC. Car suffered a major crash 900m into the first stage of the championship at Rally Otago. A quick rebuild of the car was required for the two week turnaround before Rally NZ. Car was then highly modified and converted to tarmac spec and used by Smith in Targa events. In 2012 the car was sold to Shannon Chambers and used in Rally Xtreme. While Chambers took a break from rallying, competing in offshore power boating, the car sat in the shed until 2015 where Chambers committed his efforts back into rallying, competing in the NZRC. Car is being used for the start of the 2015 NZRC before his new VW Polo Proto is ready.
In 2018 it was sold to Jono Shapely.
In 2022 it was sold to Carter Strang.
