This car IM6800 is a car with a great NZ rally history. The car features a 1800 cc BDA and was first registered in NZ on the the 21/2/1977 in Dannevirke by a young Malcolm Stewart. Stewart campaigned the car in the early days of the NZRC before being sold to Greymouth Motors Ltd. In 1985 the car was sold to Nelson driver Robbie Hart before being purchased by Malcolm Perkins of Ashburton in 1987. 1990 saw the car move to Christchurch under the ownership of Garry Hawkes before being again sold in 1992, this time to Paul McDonald. McDonald had a brief ownership of the vehicle before being sold to Brent Buist in 1993. Buist has used the car in Mainland and club events during his ownership. The car has also been used by Deane Buist from 2006 till 2011. Grant Shand used the car in the 2006 Silver Fern Rally. Car was used by Geoff Portman in the 2010 Otago Classic and Silver Fern Rally. The car had a 1600cc BDA engine under Buist ownership and was sold to Anthony Jones in 2019 with an 1800cc BDA.
