This car was built in 1980 to works specifications by the Masport Rally team for a young Richard Kelsey and used until 1980- and 81. The car was reshelled after a crash in the Maramarua crash.
In 1982 the car was sold to Gordon Edwards to compete in the 1982 Motogard replacing the Mazda he had used the previous year. The car was fitted with a pushrod engine for club events that season before a BDA engine was fitted for the international. The car appears to
not have finished the event.
