Subaru Impreza WRX Version 10
Number Plates:
EVOETA > EKS408
Driver/Ownership:
2007: Richard Mason
2008 - 2015: Brad Ayling
2015 - Current: Matt Summerfield
History:
Built by Richard Mason for the 2007 season and run in the NZRC. For the 2008 season, Mason would use the Ex West Version 10 with this car being sold to the Aylings for the 2008 season.
Brad Ayling would use it in the 2008 NZRC and North Island regional events.
2015 would see the Summerfield's based in Rangiora purchase the car for Matt to use in the New Zealand Rally Championship as an upgrade from their previous Version 8 Impreza. 2015 was a learning year for Matt in the new car, and he developed well as a driver showing his pace and edging himself towards being a regular NZRC front runner. A debut NZRC win at Rally Wairarapa was the highlight of the year.
2016 would see another promising year once again showing his pace and car control but continual issues with the car would see them drop out of contention for the title. 2017 season and Summerfield once again impressed in the car, with stints in the RalliArt NZ Mirage, winning the Tauranga Clubmans Rally and competing in the Hyundai NZ driver shootout.
With additional support, Summerfield would run the Mirage again, eventually moving to the Mirage AP4 he currently runs, with this car taking part in selected events.
